[Oct 6] Well, the H man himself says that he IS playing the Futility Festival, this Saturday the 11th. He will be accompanied by Randy Krause on drums and Heath "Large" Cole on bass. If you are anywhere near Ohio, be sure to check out this three day music festival.

[Aug 26] Tour cancelled: Due to various reasons still to be determined, the remainder of the tour has been cancelled.
[Aug 11] CDs sell out: Several of the CDs available on tour have already sold out. We will attempt to re-stock the boys while they are on the road, but for those of you who have missed out, please visit the staticwhitesound store to see what is available via mail order.
[Aug 6] The Tour is On: After some rehearsals on Tuesday and Wednesday, the band has unanimously declared the tour a go. Although the pin in H's finger remains, it ends up that finger just isn't that necessary. [Aug 1] Helios Injured in Car Accident: Helios was injured in a car accident earlier this week. He sustained a serious injury to the middle finger on his left (fret board) hand. There is currently a plastic pin in his finger which will be removed sometime this next week. The doctor assures a complete recovery, although it may take time. Helios is very committed to doing the tour and hopes that there will be no show cancellations. We will know more after the pin is removed and the band has a practice session.
[Aug 1] Majority of Tour Dates confirmed: Please check the Gigs Page for a listing of confirmed tour dates. The only date known to be canceled is the Vancouver show previously scheduled for the 6th of September.
CD Release Delayed: The production of On the Dark Side of the Sun got to a late start and will not be available on tour until August 20th. We hope to have a pared-down pre-release version available on tour until the "real" edition is ready. Mail order sales through the staticwhitesound website should start shipping around the 25th.
Helios feature article in Rock Kansas: In late June Helios was interviewed for Rock Kansas, a monthly music newspaper. The article is also on the rockkansas.com website, along with a short video clip from the Dave's Hideaway show.
Gig Change: The show at The Brick in Kansas City is on Saturday, July 26. The date reported earlier was incorrect.
staticwhitesound to release next CD: Helios Creed's next CD, entitled "On the Dark Side of the Sun", is in the final stages of production, with a scheduled release date of August 8th. It will be sold on tour and at the staticwhitesound website immediately, with US distribution following in September via Alliance Distribution.
Full US Tour in the works: Helios Creed has been taken on by Tone Deaf Touring. A full US tour is in the works for August/September.
Tour Dates: Due to the more frequent Helios appearances this year, we have a new gig section. Latest addition is July 12th at The Brick in Kansas City.
New record under negotiation: Some of the new songs you may have heard on tour this year are part of a yet unnamed new album. As soon at the technicalities are finalized, we will let you know.

Third Show Confirmed: Helios says a third show has been confirmed for May 10th in Omaha, Nebraska. Exactly where it is, he couldn't tell me. I will attempt to clear up that small issue this weekend and post my findings next week...
Change of Lineup: Due to a death in the family, there will be a change in lineup for the up-coming shows. Noel will be banging the skins and we have Roddy on bass. Noel reports that the three of them have been rehearsing heavily, and have a lot of new songs to play, as well as the old favorites. "H is totally on form. We have a new light set-up and a brand new vocal effects unit, H is also using a rotovibe pedal on his guitar..." Noel also says that that a show in Lawrence has been arranged at the Replay Lounge. This has been confirmed for Thursday, April 10th.
Helios Gig Confirmed: Helios will play Duffy's Tavern in Lincoln Nebraska on March 23rd. Please note that the date indicated on their main page is wrong. The show is on Sunday the 23rd. With Helios will be Randy Krause on drums and Large on bass (same as last year).
Other Shows in the Works: Although not yet confirmed, a show is planed for Monday the 24th in Lawrence Kansas, and on April 12th in Omaha Nebraska. We will update the site as soon as dates are confirmed.
Distributor Wanted: Helios has another album prepared, and is searching for a distributor. It was recorded in late 2002 and features Noel (a.k.a. theneonjudge) on drums.
Apologies: We here at staticwhitesound apologise for some of the broken and empty links in the discography. We will repair these problems shortly.
New Releases: Dossier Records has simultaneously released the latest from Helios Creed and Chrome. Both are available via mail order from the staticwhitesound store.
Discography Updates: I finally spent several nights adding details to the discography, with each record getting its own page. Details include a picture, tracks, catalog info etc. It's not finished yet, but it is a vast improvement over the simple list of records that has been there since the inception of this site.
New Releases: Still no news on the anticipated release of new Helios Creed and Chrome CDs from Dossier Records. Last news heard was that the records were to be distributed by Cargo Records, but no release dates have been confirmed as of yet. Helios has confirmed that the title of the new Helios Creed CD is The Spider Prophecy.

San Francisco show confirmed: Helios has booked a show at San Francisco's Bottom of the Hill for Sunday, April 21st, (not the 28th as previously reported. Tickets are available through Ticketweb or in person at the Bottom of the Hill. Paul Della Pelle will be on drums and Bean on bass.
Helios Gigs in April: After a 3 year hiatus, Helios will be doing a few shows in the heartland of America. Scheduled at this point is a show on Sunday, April 7th at Duffy's Tavern, 1412 O Street, Lincoln, Nebraska, (402) 474-3543. Other shows in the general vicinity are still in the works. Helios will be joined by Randy Krause on drums and an Heath on bass.
New Releases Delayed: The anticipated release of new Helios Creed and Chrome CDs from Dossier Records has been delayed. Dossier is apparently in need of a distributor. Until a distributor is found, the releases have been put on hold.
